Election Day thoughts

I got up early yesterday and got Ethan and Alex ready to go vote. We vote at their school, so I had them bring their back packs in case we were in line for a while. Good thing I did because we waited an hour and ten minutes. I always bring the boys to vote with me in every election and primary. You played a huge part in an Ohio victory!! Think of how many people you influenced by volunteering & canvassing!

My parents always took me to vote too-- and even though our politics are very different, i'm really glad they instilled that in me. the investment you're making in the future of our country by raising your kids to be civic minded is awesome.

Thank you for all you did for this election. :) I knew it was useless to campaign in Northern Kentucky, but we still had our Obama sign in the yard.

No problem! Yeah, everyone pretty much knew KY would go to McCain but it still helps to put a sign in the yard. I think even the red states this time had more people voting for democrats than in 2004. That's progress.
