Wow, LJ's like a wilderness lately - I'm half expecting a tumbleweed to come rolling across the screen any second.

It's not just my own lack of postings, it's everybody else's too. Almost as if an atom bomb has dropped in the place and there's only a handful of survivors left to wander the streets.

Was that a mutant turtle I just saw?

Today is Fat Tuesday.

I think I have already made my contribution.

Contrary to what you may think I have not abandoned this blog in favour of Twitter, or variables thereof.

I have, however, started another subject-specific blog here.

Just in case any of ya are missing me.

The weather's being a COMPLETE beyotch right now. Overnight ice storm, followed by freezing rain, and this morning probably 4-5 inches of snow... with more expected

Yesterday felt like a marvelous day indeed, and not just because of the copious champagne intake. I don't know about anybody else, but I could have watched Bush's helicopter take off a million times before getting bored. Obama looked magnificently Presidential and sounded confident, whilst his wife and kids looked equally happy ... even during that ( Read more... )

I just backed up my entries - which date back to May 2004 - using this service* which translated it all into a nice neat PDF book

Just read some of the old entries - some of which crack me up, others which made me cry.
