The good news is I've managed to get a job! I'll be starting on November 2nd as a Kelly Services temp working for HealthNet Federal Services here in Sacramento. Autumn in Sacramento
Well, autumn is "officially" here...cool and overcast today with a prediction of 2 inches of rain over the next few day. Some down time...
Had a blast in Austin with my friends Brian and Jim, celebrating Jim's 50th birthday. It was a nice escape and helped me refocus on getting on handle on my financial situation. Also met a VERY nice guy named Chris at the party and did a little flirting.

Shortest. Post. Ever.
Well, it's been a while since my last post again, but rather give a long drawn-out recap, I thought I just bullet the highlights.
1) Made deposit for a bankruptcy filing. Bankruptcy is NOT for the poor, so I need to see if I can come up with the rest of the fees in order to file.

The Party's Over
Phew! Busy all last week getting the house ready for my car club kick-off meeting yesterday. The meeting went well and the house looked fabulous…I maybe did TOO much work for a simple meeting, but it did prompt me to do some long-overdue cleaning and to get all the rooms arranged like I wanted.

For New Year's Eve, I got off work early and then headed downtown to meet my new friend D-E at a coffeeshop downtown. Holiday Haul
Had a nice visit with simplymare in Shasta yesterday. She had lovely roasted duck with peach chutney, rice, and steamed veggies for an early dinner. We then continued our holiday tradition of watching movies and eating junk food for the rest of the day!

Holiday Weekend
Another bright day, I did get outside for a bit to rake leaves in the back. All of the other deciduous trees have lost their leaves, now the plum tree decides to drop! It was still pretty cold (to me) even in the sunshine, but the dogs enjoyed hanging out with me for a while.
