you dont realize how much you rely on patterned paper and embellishments until you limit yourself. these 2 layouts were done for a challenge where i was required to use only cardstock, rubbons, ribbon and pens. it was a lot harder than i thought it would be because i kept getting these great ideas of what i could do to give it some splash but then ( Read more... )

I love the layouts... especially the lacing. I have done that on several of my layouts, but none came out this pretty. Also love the weaving - although I haven't tried that yet.

thank you. i've done a similar layout to the one with the lacing before but it was using a lot more embellishments and patterned papers. it was nice too. but this one was definitely a challenge. thanks for your kind thoughts.

thank you so much! it found a somewhat decent solution to the uneven-ness that happens when you pull the papers during the weaving process, using magnets. it was time consuming, but nowhere near what you would have thought.

Lovely! The lacing in the first is very pretty, I like it with that thick ribbon.

i was torn between that ribbon and a series of thinner ribbons but ultimately i liked this look better. thanks for the love!
