Time has been flying since my husband left. I think it's because I have been volunteering more at school. Wednesday afternoons it's with Anja's class, and on Thursdays I stay longer with "my" class. I am really enjoying it, even though the difficult kids seem to get more difficult. The progress you see with the kids is satisfying ( Read more... )

Went back to the hospital today for a meeting with the radiologist about my biopsy results. Benign - yay! "Benign sclerosing lesion" to be exact ( Read more... )

My biopsy yesterday went well. I won't officially know the results for about another week, but from what the radiologist was saying during the procedure, it sounded like it was something benign, probably a fibroid (not a lymph node like he originally thought). It only hurts a little bit now, and not even any bruising like they said there would be. ( Read more... )

This has been a hard holiday season for us. Melissa dying on Thanksgiving, this whole health issue with me (although it most likely will not turn out to be anything bad), and now my grandma is on her death bed. So, it turns out that I am soon going to get a mammogram, even though I am not yet 30 (let alone 40!). Went in to have an ultrasound done yesterday, and while they are pretty sure that the lump-thing the doc found at my recent visit is probably just a lymph node, the shape is a-typical of a lymph node.
