Friends
When I was in school, I didn't find my "true" friends till 8th and 9th grade, when I found kinship with the other misfits in my class--girls who were smart and offbeat and considered being called "weird" a compliment. Nearly all of them remain my friends to this day, though we don't see each other much since I up and moved to a different coast ( Read more... ) -
Things could be worse but they still suck.
I got a call from Max's camp today (first day of an afternoon-only camp about dinosaurs; he took an all-day camp about race cars at the same place last week). He hit another child and "knocked the wind out of him." He was sequestered and will be asked to sign a behavior contract. If he hits anyone again he will be expelled from camp ( Read more... ) -
