How can you be so insensitive? Whether he was car surfing (which he wasn't) or not, he was still killed. What is the point of this? Just to hurt the people that cared about him or just to be a smart ass? This is one of the reasons I dislike livejournal so much. There are so many people here who just have to put their opinion in where it's not needed.

I know that you won't give a crap about any of the comments left to this post. Especially from the people that loved Brandon. But I know I care because he was my friend. I think this is totally inappropriate and, at this moment, I hate you. Not that you care at all what I think of you.

Why do all you fucking people have to be jack asses, he wasnt car surfing. He was trying to get back into the car so he jumped on the hood so they wouldnt drive away but they did so he held on, and the girl breaked and he fell off and for some reason she kept going. HE NEVER WAS CAR SURFING YOU ASS HOLE!!!!!!!

Accidental or not, how is that different from "car surfing"? Is he exempt because he wasn't wearing the right uniform or something?

all he did was jump on the car so they wouldnt drive off on him and thought that they would stop but they didnt

Well, any way you cut it, Mr. Burkhart died from his own stupidity. You may quibble over the exact details, but it'd be more of a leap than the one Brandon made to suggest that what he did could remotely fall into the realm of common sense.

That said, I am pleased that you guys-presumably his friends-are marginally more literate and coherent than the deceased. This possibility of you aiding in the perpetuation of Brandon's defective genes has been mercifully removed from your hormonally-clouded lives. Now you are free to aim your misdirected passions at worthier targets.

He left the world a better place. And really, that's half of the highest compliment you can pay someone in a eulogy.
