So far this has resulted in the purchase of a shiny new refurbished MacBook. All of my very own. Mmmm...shiny.

It all went like clockwork too. Loads of folk turned up to help with the box-hefting (THANK YOU!) and we had cleared the old place in under 30 minutes! The building of the flat-pack took a bit longer than that, but all were rewarded with a giant take-away curry ( Read more... )

...because the IKEA half price sale has been extended until 25th June.

Now I can outfit my shiny new flat for half the cost! Love it.

I had a meeting with my solicitor yesterday to sign lots and lots of bits of paper. One of the more interesting bits of paper was a declaration that I was not married and that the flat would not be a "marital home". On hearing this, in a conversation late last night, guybles suggested that I might want to find out what would happen if I did get married
