I've bought a house! Bugger me, how did that happen?

It was on fixed price and I went to see it on Thursday (my first night out looking at houses) and again on Sunday and offered, and was accepted, yesterday. I've spent longer thinking about buying a pair of shoes!

A colleague commented that it was nice to see young people wearing colour (meaning me and my sea green top). I mentioned that, at 30, I could no longer be considered young.

She countered with, "Kate Moss was 32 yesterday."

Well, in that case, I'm still young!

Hurrah.

....it has been 40 days since my last confession.

Or something.

Anyway, not much to report. A good Christmas, a thoroughly boozy New Year, a moment of madness in the last of the sales and a winter cold.

All in all, a most enjoyable festive season.

I burned my forehead this morning with my hair irons and now have a lovely red mark. It coordinates beautifully with the spot on my chin and the bruise on my neck from where someone bit me.

All I need now is a black eye and I'll be all set for scaring small children and old ladies.

Pah.
