When do I get to say "I told you so" ?

Welp, looks like we might as well have kept that $360 million or so of American taxpayer money. In an incredible show of appreciation for all the assistance rendered to the nation is its time of need, Vice President Jusuf Kalla announced that all foreign troops assisting with the restoration and aid effort must leave by the end of March saying, " ( Read more... )

Now now, that's no way to talk on my journal. Say "fuck" properly. Or, if you're in an imaginative mood, go for something a little more creative, like "what an ungrateful camel's rectal piercing". Or "What an ungrateful pumpkin-headed, goat-fucking excuse for scrotum sweat." See how much more fun those are? ;->

What, exactly, did you want in return for the tsunami aid? For Jusuf Kalla to fly to Georgia to give you a big wet smooch?

Sorry, but I do not see the lack of gratitude there. So the VP of Indonesia has set a time frame for how long a foreign military can have a presence in his country. So what?

Besides, the military offers a limited kind of aid. What most of those people need are doctors to heal this sick and environmental scientists to purify their water.

Ya know "thankyouverymuchforthecashyouforeigndevilsnowgetthefuckouttahere" just doesn't cut it as far as appreciation goes, at least in my narrow little world view. But if that's the way he wants it - sure, fuckit, let's pull all the troops assisting with the relief effort out immediately and remember this the next time they come whining for help.

I guess it just annoys me that time after time we're treated like that rich uncle that nobody likes - our cash is good enough, and if somebody's getting threatened we're their new best friends, but once they've got what they want it's back to hating big bad America. At least until the next crisis comes along.
