For those who do/did not know, I was proud to have achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5) during my twelve years in the U.S. Air Force. ;-)

After a long, painful, and exhausting battle against diabetes and dementia, my father passed away in his sleep this morning. During his lifetime, he had triumphed over addictions (alcohol and tobacco), heart disease, cancer, and ulcers.
