I signed up for some "lap swimming classes" at the local county rec center. They are advertised as being for people who can swim but want to improve strength/stamina/conditioning, with some stroke improvement thrown in. So basically, exactly what i want. Odds & Ends
We did end up getting some Elfa for the pantry. Acquiring it was kind of an ordeal; Daughterpinx was not really having a good shopping day. We barely managed to get through the "design session" with the Elfa person, though that was pretty straighforward. So my knitting obsession continues. I now have lots and lots of yarn, and about 5 things i'd like to try to make. I'm currently working on a simple scarf to match the hat i made for Daughterpinx. One of the things i put on my Christmas list was a Knifty Knitter knitting loom. I can't even remember exactly how i ran across it, though i think i was looking for something on Amazon and found a book about knitting looms. Yay new author!
I saw a book on Amazon recently (possibly it was an Amazon recommendation, i can't quite remember) and put it on my wish list. I got it for Christmas and woo! i love it. Hooray for new authors! I've been in a bit of a slump lately with respect to finding someone new to read. I can HIGHLY recommend Jasper Fforde. I'm on book 3 of the Thursday Next ( Read more... ) -
