1 - A fill for this prompt from HC advent. It was supposed to be done and posted in early December. *headdesk*
It's a White Collar fanfiction, about 4600 words in, and it is going to be MUCH longer than I can handle without handholding. It's friendship fic with established pairings, and I've created a backstory for the prompt which made it long. This has priority over the next one.
2 - A fill for this prompt from Angst-a-palooza. It looks like it's going to be long, and I tend to need a little prodding to get the longer stuff out (see above, *headdesk*)
Again, White Collar fanfiction, just started, it's already at a good 1300 words, OMG all this long fic is SCARING me.
What do you need to do to get it finished? Someone/something holding me responsible, deadlines work (but not if they're inches from my nose). I have a friend to brainstorm/talk plot with, so that's definitely not a problem.
Any stumbling blocks? (please say whether or not you're happy for people to offer advice)I tend to lose sight of the end, and ( ... )

1. 'Forced', an outtake from my Transformers fanfic Went Too Far that took on a mind of its own.
2. 'Puppy Love', my ongoing Transformers AU. I've been making progress in 2013, but I really just want to *finish* it.
What do you need to do to get it finished?
1. I've written a bare bones first draft and now I'm slowly going back over and editing it. I'm having difficult with some of the more painful dubcon/noncon parts, but I'm plugging along a little at a time. I think the final edit will end up being around 8500 words and I'm at about 6000 right now.
2. There are 2 more plot points/scenes left that need to be expanded upon (the courtroom scene and the cliffhanger) as well as an epilogue. So probably another 12-15K. Although knowing me, that will double cuz I can't get my characters to shut up.
Any stumbling blocks?1. Discomfort in the subject matter. I'm getting over it pretty quickly though ( ... )

What do you need to do to get it finished? So much *sobs*. Edit/rewrite the rough parts (which is basically all of it), figure out the succession of scenes to avoid meandering and ensure consistency in the characters, and there are some minor bumps in the plot that still need fixing.
Any stumbling blocks? This is about five times my usual word count, so that alone feels pretty overwhelming.
Would you like to be poked repeatedly with a sharp stick until you finish? Yes! Every two weeks would be best, and I prefer the stick not to be too sharp.
Do you have any fortnightly goals? Tackle chunks of 750 words per fortnight, plus whatever outlining/researching it takes.
Would you like me to record these under a cut on the fortnightly check-in post for extra motivation? yes, that'd be great!

"When the Light is burning low." A Hobbit fanfiction. I have only a very short prologue and many ideas so far. I'm flexible on the pairing as well, but it will either turn out to be Bilbo/Kili or Bilbo/Fili (or Bilbo/Fili/Kili ^.^). It is/will be an AU and follow movie-canon with certain changes.
What do you need to do to get it finished? ...everything?
Any stumbling blocks? I would be more than happy to get peoples advice, especially if they are knowledgeable in all things Tolkien, even better if they know Sindarin/Khuzdul and could help with a translation or two. Other than that... I tend to lose interest in a FF when it is multi-chaptered for the simple reason that I'm bound to discover other shiny fandoms that'll captivate me. I need someone to keep me on track and interested, I guess ^.^"
