kitchen experiments again
dice up and boil the taters as you would for mashed taters.
drain off the water.
dump in heaping load of Salsa (I used thick & spicy).
do NOT add any milk, butter or anything else.
mash the hell out of them.
They'll turn red (interesting side effect).
I thought they tasted rather good. -
totalling up my weekend
hmm....last conversation (excluding cashiers saying "thank you, come again") was on Saturday about 11 A.M.
next conversation I had wasn't until about 7 AM Monday morning when got to work.
That's 32 hours without talking to another human.
If it hadn't been the 1st saturday of the month, I would have started counting around 3 pm on Friday.... -
well, the twelve year old brown rice wasn't fatal.
though, the pancakes at the local all you can eat buffet place could be sold to the army for ceramic armor inserts.
and still the local grocery that used to carry the maple buns candy has only the caramel ones.
by and large, other than getting more of the roses cleaned out, a very disappointing weekend so far. -

Friday and Saturday were the spring gaming event from the Historical Miniature Wargaming Society (http://www.hmgs.org/) Great Lakes Region (http://www.hmgsgl.org/) at Fort Meigs in Perrysburg.
Friday's medieval matchup ended in a draw - my saxon's nearly wiped out the romans and the romans nearly wiped out my saxons. The other guy was as aggressive ( Read more... ) -

In one, an archeologist is showing a Roman aquaduct and reading an inscritption by a politician.
