In an effort to rid myself of the bleh feeling, I have essentially committed myself to three trips in the next couple of months. I'm heading down to Phoenix in the beginning of July, SoCal at the end of July and Reno in August. Now I need to plan a trip out to the Bay Area before people there start demanding my head ( Read more... )

Does this mean you're coming to the Long Beach convention and the Reno Road show (she asked hopefully)?

I'll be in Reno. The Con is still iffy. Dunno if I'm going to have the finances for it yet. I can get there, but the cost of the con and the hotel are becoming issue. It's going to depend on how everything else goes.

Would be nice to see ya for the first time in...what--three years? Keep your LJ friends here apprised of exactly when you'll be in SoCal so we can plan on a time to visit.

Oh, speaking of Mylin - you came up in "conversation" (email) the other day. I was talking about the progress I've made with my singing this past year, and how you had told me awhile back that from what I told you about my voice, that it sounded like my situation was similar to Mylin's (high soprano voice, but then able to find a lower belt). She said that that was exactly right! She's been so good to me this past year - if you do see her make sure you give her a big hug for me. =)

The base is closed to the public, but Ivy's going to see if her Press Pass will get us on. My Military ID is expired and I don't know anyone stationed there that can "Sponsor" us to get us on base. Ivy was trying to arrange an interview for the paper she works for, so I don't know if anything at all will be scheduled outside of the concert.

What concert is this? Phoenix is a bit far, but you do know someone with a military id who can be bribed- especially with rollos and ice cream.....

It's for their 4th of July Celebration. Mylin, a very good friend of mine, the person whom I literally owe my life to, is performing in that concert. http://www.mylinmusic.com

How random. Sometimes it's a small freaking world. Not sure if they know each other, or if she's just a Mylin Fan, but my buddy Linna from my UCLA days just sent something out on Myspace telling all her friends to go vote for Mylin in the starbucks contest.

also, not sure about that particular base, but lots of times they will open the base up to the public for events like that. if you haven't already checked.
