So last night after the Rivercats game I went to the relase of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. There, I encountered about half the DHS band (who would have thought?) and some other cool people too. I didn't think I would actually get a copy, but lo and behold there were still books left at the avid reader when all the dust had settled at ( Read more... )

it's along the coast off of highway one...like 47 miles south of lucia which is about 53 miles from carmel. going the other way, it's like 35 miles north of san luis obispo. and the only reason i know these lovely distance approximations is cuz i biked that entire stretch. and cambria is a pretty cool little town and has this grill which has the best vegetarian sandwich ever (and good dead animals...uhh meat stuff too, so i heard from my biking companions) and it has a delicious pie place.
but of course how could pie and a sandwich in a nice little town on the coast near entertaining elephant seals and congregations of car enthusiasts be better than downtown davis?

i didn't ask for your life story, but since you asked for mine, here you go:
on 6:18 p.m. on august 12, 1988, in sacramento, california, my life began. for the next five years, i lived in natomas, an area of sacramento. then, in december 1993, i moved 12 miles west to a town called davis, where i have lived for the last 11 1/2 years. the rest is really a blur, until last night, which i so lucidly explained...

and i know all of those other towns because they have missions in them. that was SO fourth grade, or was that just a catholic school thing?

I would love to shout, "ME TOO!" but alas, I cannot. I've only read the 5th book once, so I've totally forgotten everything in it. (Asa told me the other day that Sirius dies at the end, and I yelled, "Are you kidding? Don't ruin it for me!") So don't tell me anything about the 5th or 6th until, like, mid-august, k?
