Attended princesabin's wedding. It was a lot of fun. It was a Hindu ceremony, and the central moment of the wedding (so far as I could tell) had to do with ritually revealing the bride and groom to each other (symbolizing that they see each other for the first time). Orientation Water Bottle
While I was busy breaking my back a few years ago, someone brought me a red class-of-2007 Freshman Orientation water bottle. It was very helpful at the time (waiting for the ambulance), but it got taken to the hospital with me, and I've had it ever since. Does anyone know whose water bottle this is? Edible cottonseeds
Science makes me happy. Scientists at Texas A&M have apparently found a genetic way of making cottonseeds nonpoisonous, without removing the rest of the plant's protection from insects. Humanity already uses a ton of cotton, so a bunch of seeds are getting grow anyway. Twenty years from now, we may be getting a bunch of free new food ( Read more... )
