Today went by too fast. I ended up locking myself in my house playing drums all day. I started playing at around 10:30 am and I didn't realize what time it was until 10:45 pm. Then I realized it was probably pissing the neighbors off, so I quit. I ended up adding two more cymbals and a tom to my set. So basically, my drumset it pretty damn big now ( Read more... )

I love playing the drums too. I never have time though. When I do have time I am never alone and I hate playing with my parents in the house. I am pretty damn good at double bass. My legs could be stronger but I don't practice enough. But I can still pull off some fast and awsome shit. The only thing I suck at and never take time to practice is fills. I can do them, just not fast or creative. Overall I think im decent at the drums but not nearly as good as I want to be. I find I always play the same things over and over too. I need to think up some new stuff.

I have some good rudiments I can give ya that'll help you a lot with fills. I like to learn the rudiments then apply em to the set. It helps a lot with stick control, strength and speed.

I have a sheet that my old music teacher gave me with some Rudiments on it. 40 of them to be exact.
I think im going to dig up some of my old music books and play them when I get a chance. I took drum lessons at southland mall in that music store they got. I think his name was Jason.
Can you read music?

yeah, sheet music for percussion is pretty easy to read. I think my book has a couple hundred rudiments that'll kick your ass. I took lessons for about 6 months down at good old marshalls.
