I really hate politics and wanted to avoid bringing up any political topics around election time, but I can't take it anymore. Everywhere I turn, I see bashing. Bush this... Kerry that... WTF???? Shut the fuck up people! I'm sick of it! If you feel the candidate you're voting for is the right one, why can't you point out the positive aspects ( Read more... )

o·pin·ion (n.): A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof.

That's the thing that people need to remember as far as this election business goes. Everybody's got their own opinion and they're entitled to it. But bashing the other candidate will get you nowhere. Let's all just be civilized.

Did you register to vote yet? If not, you can't vote this year.

But about the Pistons, for this month, I can take you to the Minnesota game on Nov 17 (Wed @ 7:30) or the Charlotte game on Nov 21 (Sun @ 6:00). Lemme know which one sounds good to you.

So you're gonna take Joe to a Pistons game on your girlfriend's birthday?! I'll remember that! lol, oh you will so get an ass kicking! but then again, you might like it.......... :P

I'm voting for Kerry. Did you hear that Bush is planning on asking Congress for (up to) ANOTHER $75 Billion to finance wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? I'm sick of it.

im with joe on this.. why would you give 75 billion dollars to watch a men and women get blown away.. no joke if it was up to me, we removed saddam... we never fouind weapons of mass destruction. get out people out there and let them poor bastards kill themselves off. then everyone would be happy. its like helpoing a poor person... you can only give themn so much help, then the rest is up to them. They have to be the ones that want to change. if you dont liek it, get the hell out of there. i think thats this whole election is gonna be about what the president will do about the war. thats how the president will be decided.

Now I'm not going to say who is wrong or who is right, but I will say this: I feel that this country is in desperate need of a "regime change"... yes, you heard me correctly. Since all politicians are crooks, the American people are forced to choose the best of the worst. I see Kerry as a breath of fresh air. Something in the current administration isn't working, so why not shift gears for four years? What have we to lose? The economy and unemployment rate can't get any worse. Sure, Kerry's proposals as of now may appear a bit radical; heck, they may not work! But why not give it a shot?

*SIDE NOTE* I unfortunately sat back and watched as the Supreme Court chose the 2000 Presidential winner. I felt as though my vote no longer counted. I won't mind if my candidate loses the race this year; however, I will not be a puppet to be fucked with. I hope all people who are able to vote get out and do so (and correctly!). I want my vote to count... and I hope everyone else wants to be heard too.
