We were really pleased with ourselves :) Sadly the accidental wall art is preserved only in photos, as D-d's parts of it went home to her house. But I liked the look of the pieces on the mantelpiece so much I have left my two there and just added a couple of jars of greenery to them - and that bit of the room is now declared decorated!
Beautiful! I made a wreath with my mother in law and it was a great session of connection. Mine was following Nancy Birtwhstle's instruction, which I'd seen on her instagram. I might try the stars with my daughters next year!
There is something very 'family' about doing things like that together.
We had a diagram for the stars - even then it took me a while (!) - but we just sort of free-handed the wreaths as we already had the circles to work from.
Doing the stars with your daughters would be a lovely festive thing to do.
