We were very happy with our stars :) - and the accidental bicycle made us both get the giggles.

I don't like to drive 85 miles, let alone race along on a bicycle that far. Good for him, though!

The stars look lovely, and congrats on the accidental bicycle wall art! Your garden turtle would be well pleased with that! *g*

As you will guess, he is a fit young man!

We were really pleased with ourselves :) Sadly the accidental wall art is preserved only in photos, as D-d's parts of it went home to her house. But I liked the look of the pieces on the mantelpiece so much I have left my two there and just added a couple of jars of greenery to them - and that bit of the room is now declared decorated!

Thank you - we both enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by greenery, ribbons and baubles :)

Beautiful! I made a wreath with my mother in law and it was a great session of connection. Mine was following Nancy Birtwhstle's instruction, which I'd seen on her instagram. I might try the stars with my daughters next year!

There is something very 'family' about doing things like that together.

We had a diagram for the stars - even then it took me a while (!) - but we just sort of free-handed the wreaths as we already had the circles to work from.

Doing the stars with your daughters would be a lovely festive thing to do.

When we realised we had accidentally created a bike it made us both laugh. And yes, the house is beginning to smell festive now!
