Passed 1000 miles
I passed 1000 miles on the odometer on the bike computer. Yay! What it says roughly agrees with Google Maps, so hopefully I have it calibrated correctly. -

Made her own breakfast
Peanut got up a bit early today and since we were not ready yet, she made her own breakfast all by herself. Very cool! Breakfast was Strawberry Yogurt, Eggo Waffles, and Milk. -
Deer
Went for an early morning bike ride and on the way back I saw two deer, a mother and child, wandering about on the bike trail. There was a small group of people, dogs, and bicyclists slowly going around them. Then the mother went off the trail, and I'm sure the child followed eventually. It made a nice start to the day. -
not enough warnings
I opened up a document in "Pages" that didn't seem to want to open automatically again after Pages had closed the last time and up very briefly flashed an error message saying "There aren't enough error warnings for this document". Then it opened up okay. Weird. Aha it's reproducible and actually says "There aren't any error warnings for this ( Read more... ) -
iTunes 30 second rewind
I noticed that iTunes on the ipad has a 30 second rewind button, but iTunes on the Mac does not. I went Googling to figure out why, and found this post: https://discussions.apple.com/message/12057171#12057171 where someone used Automator to fix that. I didn't ( Read more... ) -
Peanut is building a fairy house
Peanut is building a fairy house. Out of cardboard and masking tape and such things.
It also is designed to trap them, so she can take them to school.
She knows fairies are real, since the tooth fairy is real (the tooth fairy has paid for 6 teeth this year after all), and the tooth fairy might have had babies. -
Washington and Old Dominion Trail
So Jen did a lot of research and picked a lovely apartment up here - walking distance to a Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Library, Park, Dry Cleaner, Frozen Yogurt place, etc. It's also sort of close to this bike trail called the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, which is a "rails to trails" type of bike path. Sold the House
House closed on 9/3, yay!
We are happily in VA and did the closing via mail. Worked great.
