Goals 2015 Update

It's time for another update on my 2015 goals.

1. Facebook only on weekends - I did really well at this for 4-5 months. I was at peak "no Facebook" in April and have slipped lately. It's frustrating how many people can only be reached via Facebook, but it's not frustrating having that many people that I want to talk to! Still, I can do better.

2. BMI Waiver / Blood Sugar. I've only missed three days of Crossfit when I was in town. I've biked frequently. I've even done both in the same night a few times. Throw in some ultimate and ample dog walking and it is clear that lack of exercise is not a problem.

I'm doing less well at the 'no snacks at work' goal. In 108 work days through Independence Day, I had a snack at work 24 times. There's been a definite uptick in peanut M&Ms consumed at work.

It looks my annual health screening will be in early August, so we'll see how it goes. My weight is down under 220 and I feel skinner. I think the BMI goal is play. As always, the blood sugar is a mystery to me, but hopefully my increased muscle tone is burning sugar faster. I'm certainly hungrier!

3. Platelets. I've now donated platelets successfully three times. I had two failed attempts. I have one more appointment in July. That's six attempts. My goal was to give six times, so I'm on track.

4. Shakespeare. I've read one play by the Bard, The Merry Wives of Windsor. I actually read it while giving platelets, so if I leverage that three is feasible.

5. In by 9:30am 80% of work days. I've been there by 9:30 on 100 of 108 work days, which is 92.59%. Not bad. The last two times I was late I rolled in at 9:31 because I biked to work and didn't clock in after my show until 9:31. Not bad.

6. Stop Chewing My Nails. I haven't even tried.

I'd call 2, 3 and 5 strong successes. 4 is on track, and 1 was good but is slipping. Not too shabby.
