So I got back from California and found that my DSL was broken at the house. 8 days later my ISP had failed to show up for two different repair appointments, so I'm writing this at the radio station instead of trying to peck it out on a phone.

I thought this month had two anniversaries. I was half right.

First, May 20 marked my 15th anniversary at my current employer. For fifteen years there's no plaque or anything like there is after the first decade, but they did announce it at the all hands last Monday and I got some nice emails. As previously mentioned, there were some unknown number of squirrels wintering in the roof of my screened porch. While this wasn't an utter catastrophe since they didn't have access to my house proper, it was still undesirable so an exterminator was retained to deal with this. When I bought my home, there was water damage in the kitchen ceiling due to a leak on the flat porch above it. I got it fixed in August 2012. My house has siding on it, but the siding only covers the main part of the walls. The trim and eaves are all wooden, and after nine years they were in desperate need of a few coats of paint. The primary problem was that there was the eave at the front of my garage that was showing signs of water damage. This wasn't part of the actual garage roof, but still I figured I'd better get it fixed.

Today marks the 13th anniversary of my start date at my current employer. Due to a quick of coincidence, it was also Cedar Point Day for my office, or as it has been re-branded, "Employee Appreciation Day."
