I had a lovely weekend. Saturday I went on a poker run to benefit a local chapter of the Knights of Columbus. It ended with a Cook-off and auction between the local candidates who are running for various offices this election year. Take air conditioning out of an 1845 building. Place Cat on 2nd floor behind a steel reinforced wooden desk. Do not give Cat a fan because then no one else behind said steel reinforced desk would be comfortable, i.e. Judge and court reporter, due to faulty wiring which could cause entire bench to burn up if said additional fan would be plugged in ( Read more... )

A week has passed without my cat, my companion, my lovable purrr machine. How I miss him so. But the lack of cat hair, stinky litter box, specs of gravel, and a relatively cleaner atomosphere around the house has made his departure not so bad. Everyone I know that lives in South Louisiana has their own horror story of that event and each year it appears we will be reminded to look back.
