So guess summer is almost coming to an end...at least the summer break portion of it. Wow, another 5 months gone by with no update. It's been a pretty dramatic past 5 months finally getting married to Jihyun and living together back in Boston. I almost feel used to it now like we've always been married. I wonder how these fun times would change...

Ok, so first semester is almost over. Definitely enjoying it here more and more but wish Tiffany was here too. The only downer is summer job search - getting no traction and feel like banging my head against a wall. So need to apply with on-campus recruiters and we will see how that goes. So my mother told me she put Joy to sleep last Thursday - as much of a shock this was, I can understand her decision. She had a happy life to this point and rather than living the next several years of her life suffering from seizures and growing distant from my parents, probably a good thing that she dies in peace. So another week at hbs is drawing to a close. Still clearly in the meet-and-greet mode and lots of social activities going on like tonight's cruise, but at the same time, the trend is also clearly towards seriously embarking upon studies. So it's been five days since getting to HBS - was pretty unhappy in the beginning after the NY blackouts forced me to spend the night in Wilson's parents' house in Queens and take a 4-hr bus ride to Boston after a 16-hr flight. Quit work 6/30, bleached hair white and then to Italy. Two days in San Francisco to wrap up on permanently leaving the city after 9 yrs in the area (sob), got incredibly sick before the flight but then made through the flight to Korea ( Read more... )

My mother is here for 18 days and canceled Miami as a result. It's actually a good thing since we can probably use the dough we were going to use here for our Italy/ Greece trip in the summer.
