Kirk ran into the main hallway and found nothing there except more pink light coating everything. His gut feeling said that if something was happening, it should've happened already, but he was a loss to explain what was going on. The system (if he could call it that, vague as it was to describe the whole Landel's torture/

Definitely itching. It didn't sting yet, and the mangled corpse she'd passed was still food in desperation only. Which wasn't tonight, since she'd poured herself an extra measure from her stored calories. That was dancing like butterflies made of deck plating somewhere behind her belly button, but at least she wasn't hungry. Yet.
A series of bug carcasses were lined neatly up in front of a small boy. Taura was pretty sure those would still be revolting even to a zombie, so she hopped neatly over them and continued down the hall. Whatever else was going on, it seemed she wasn't the only one to think of using confusion as a cover. The only question was which side had opened the zoo gates.
Taura took up a vantage point down at the central end of the hall, holding herself almost perfectly still. Only her mind raced, as if by thinking fast enough she could outrun the poison in her blood.

When Rita approached the meeting spot, it was clear that something had changed since earlier that day. She looked absolutely pleased with herself, and not even a pile of dead monster bodies littered across the hallway could ruin her mood.
She spotted Taura right away, and walked straight over, a smile still on her face. Remembering the woman's condition, she stopped before getting too close. She didn't plan to be overly cautious (that would just be patronizing and annoying) but she didn't plan to provoke things unnecessarily. They just needed to be able to see and hear each other clearly.
"Looks like they're trying to sic the horde on us," she commented, observing the carnage casually, as if she were checking the time of day. "They make great stress relief." And boy, did Rita ever have a lot of stress to relieve. Why, she'd have to cast another hundred spells to fully clear her mind of troubles.
The beautiful part was that she felt like she really could go cast another hundred spells just then.

A short, half-naked monkey slid into the hallway covered in bruises and a few blood stains. His military-issued combat boots made interesting patterns across the hallway so he began to walk backwards to watch every new bloody foot-print that blossomed underneath him.
The strange fascination didn't last long. A whiff of someone familiar hit his senses and he quickly forgot about his own feet. His two companions were already waiting. Whoops, guess he got a little carried away in the hallways!
"Hey, guys!" Goku shouted beside the two women, tail swiping his bare legs in a content and lazy circle. "You see all those monsters everywhere?!" as if the answer wasn't as obvious as the blood painted on every surface of the institute.

Taura felt her own eyes widening, and looked away. She knew how much that could hurt, but she'd never really thought about this side of it.
"I saw. Nothing has attacked me yet, but the night is young. You think we should stick to the plan, or do we move on Aguilar in the confusion?" It would help to know where he was, for that plan, but that was operational details. Right? Right.
"Oh, and this is a stunner." She pulled it out of her cleavage and held it up. "Worst comes to worst, one close-range shot from this and I'll be out cold for a few hours. Things get ugly, take it from me." She tucked it back away and kept trying not to stare at Goku's tail.

Without a moment's hesitation, Rita stepped forward and gave the kid's head a smack with her knuckles. "What do you think you're doing, showing up looking like that!?" she snapped, then stepped away in disgust. "Actually, I don't want to know. Just don't get too close to me."
She glanced back to Taura. "Going after Aguilar?" It was a surprising proposition, but her lips soon curled into an approving smirk. "Sounds like a plan. I don't know how, but it looks like my magic's back to full strength. So long as nothing gets the drop on me, I can take out as many monsters as he's got." And that wasn't an exaggeration.
Taura's situation would complicate things, possibly. Rita noted where the stunner was placed (wait, they'd have to reach in there if they had to stop her!?), and nodded, eyes narrowing slightly. She was confident she could protect herself ( ... )

"So who's this Agoolar?" His vacant black eyes shifted from Rita to Taura and back, waiting for a response. "Is he a good fighter?!" He must be if all three of them needed each other to take him down. This would be so much fun! Well, unless Taura started munching on one of them. Tilting his head, the young boy stared at her and saw nothing evident that she would change. Then again, he could barely tell men and women apart.
"Don't worry! I can just hit ya with my nyoibo. It gets longer," Goku assured without a demonstration.

On second thought, do I really want to know the answer to that second question? He'd regained some sort of magic, possibly destroying his pants in the process, and how that worked was his own business.
She answered the question honestly. "He's the one who's in charge of keeping us all trapped here. Problem is, we don't know where he's gone, except that he might be going after Martin Landel. And we don't know where he is, either, except that at one point he was hiding out in the mountains or the woods."
Taura had only been outside once, and that hadn't panned out, but there were four directions to head in even on land. "I'm just me. No magic, no...nyoibo." Assuming she could stay Taura, of course, but she was going to try.
Either way, they needed to head up the hall. Taura started walking down it.
