The people at the top in the service branch of my job have lost their minds. First they thought it was a fantastic idea to offer me the position and salary of a technician (moving me from my current paper shuffling and complaint taking) without wondering if I could do it. The historical signifigance of Italy finally mastering Germany in their own country is considerable. Or something, I guess.
