Show last night was great. Crowd seemed moderate to small, but the venue was huge, so that number of people would have appeared very impressive in a smaller place like the Van Dyck. I'll update about Cape Cod and whatnot soon.....but......the band rehearsed tonight and I played EMBARASSINGLY poorly. Chalk it up partially to me sitting in a lawn chair and not my throne, my garage's acoustic imperfections, and (mostly) the fact that I am sickeningly out of practice on anything musical save for piano and conducting ( Read more... )

Out of the productions I've musically directed and played percussion in, I've NEVER had as smooth and flawless of a first run with cast and orchestra together as I had tonight.
