that was lovely. I especially loved #8 (They’re both orphans now) - sharing their pain is almost more intimate than their frakking, and certainly more familiar.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with 8, and yes about the frakking - my last fic was super porny so I wanted to stay away from that here, and I thought it would be more interesting if the sex was actually kind of anticlimactic, because in a way it was always already there - it was the rest of their relationship that had to click into place.
