The good thing about having left it for so long is that it might very well be the only place I can be completely honest right now.

I seriously have some of the most awesome, pervtastic coworkers ever. I love it.

The only drawback: The IT folks have most of the fun stuff pretty locked up, so that sorta sucks. I'mma have to get a paid account again so I can email posts from time to time.

Yesterday afternoon, I slipped on the stairs in a metro station. Thankfully, I was holding the rail, so I stopped myself from really falling all the way. I was concerned that I might have hurt my left knee, as it felt weird when I stood up, but that pain walked off pretty quickly ( Read more... )

Eleven weeks. I went eleven weeks without any of those tasty, tasty plastic snacks and I finally gave in today. It wasn't worth it. I wasn't wracked with guilt or anything, but there just wasn't enough reward in it. I'm glad though, because at least now I won't continue to feel tempted by that sugary mistress anymore ( Read more... )

In the mornings, I take a DoD shuttle bus from the Pentagon to the Navy Yard. It's usually a school bus style monstrosity (at least it has heat/AC and radio), but every once in a while, we get a fancy tour bus type.
