Opportunities Missed

I know I haven't posted in a long time, though I don't think that a lot of people really missed my sporatic updates. I also don't blame them, as I have done a poor job of keeping any of my social relationships healthy. I'd like to say this will change, but I don't know if that will happen

your rare updates are always read with interest.
i'm glad that re-connexion happened for you.
if you ever reach my venerable age, 90% of your regrets will concern failures to connect, so rejoice in the second chance you got. even if it does not work out, at least you got an opportunity to make something happen.
and learn from that - that you should never let opportunities slide past. grasp them, and give yourself the chance to make them work, so that you do not spend your later years wondering and grieving over what might have been.

*glomps* Yay! An update! I'm glad you got in contact with your friend, too! Funny how things work that way, sometimes.

I think I know what you mean with totally missing something like that... It's a weird feeling. I guess the best you can do is reboot yourself and be ready for the next time one of those moments come around again. There's always more than one, even if it's not necessarily the same sort as the last one.

It was really great getting to talk to you for a few days a couple of weeks ago! Thanks a lot! It made me really, really happy :).
