I know I haven't posted in a long time, though I don't think that a lot of people really missed my sporatic updates. I also don't blame them, as I have done a poor job of keeping any of my social relationships healthy. I'd like to say this will change, but I don't know if that will happen ( Read more... )

Is it time to say goodbye, or do you wish to have it just fade away. It is impossible to know the meaning of an object dear to you, the closer you hold it, the more you accept it's reliability, and leave it alone, but then one day, it's missing and you cannot get it back and you realize how much it's meant to you. Maybe you can get it back, but then the vicious cycle continues. Do you want this to happen, or do you just wish to say goodbye and say that everything means nothing at all? Either way, I will step back.

You know, I've felt like that myself, but then later I've discovered that it doesn't really matter. For example, I often felt like if I had attended the board meetings at the printing company I was at, that I wouldn't have been cut from the company. Guess what? The company just declared bankruptcy. So much for that "missed opportunity," huh? But at the time, I kept mentally kicking myself for being an idiot. Or my last girlfriend. I lost contact with her, but now that I think of it, she really didn't care. She never called me. I always had to call her. And "oh, were we supposed to do something yesterday?" seems like a natural thing for her to say. Anyways, time gives you a different perspective on missed opportunities.
