Who will play Orpheus to my Eurydice?

Dec 22, 2007 01:41

I know I promised silliness but this insisted on being written. Musey demands to be pleased.

Title: Eurydice
Pairing: Implied Spangel
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Joss encourages us to play in HIS world.
Summary: Post NFA. Angsty drabble. How much would he be willing to give to get what he thought he had always wanted?

If he writes well... )

[Had to look up about Eurydice *feels terribly uneducated*]

Awww, don't feel bad! The only reason I know is that my friend, who is like such a Greek myth geek, dragged me off to see a modern adaptation of the story and I was so confused that she had to explain it five times. Hehe.

I like the distinction between Spike and William.

Thanks! He's kinda in between now as to who he is. He's so vulnerable and lost, the poor thing. *pets him*

Oooh, quotage!

*snuggles happily against you*

Wow, that was amazingly poetic and beautiful!
Spike acting the Orpheus for Angel is an interesting idea and so mean, because the audience has not been his friend in the past.

Thank you! The Eurydice and Orpheus story was just perfect for Spike and Angel. I couldn't resist.

the audience has not been his friend in the past.

That is sooo true. And this new audience is not exactly the easiest to please. But still, one can hope?

*hugs*

Oh sweetie, that was heartbreakingly beautiful. I love the poet in Spike and I love it even more when he writes for Angel.
That was a great use of the myth, made the story even more touching.
Your angsty Muse always makes me cry but I don't mind at all :)

*huggles you tight*

Thank you, sweetie! William wasn't a good poet because he didn't really experience the full flavors of life. Spike, on the other hand, has felt it all and I like to think that after a century, his poetry has become much much better. Especially after the loss of Angel. Tragedy is the greatest motivator.
