Gripe
Ok, I'm irritated. Apparently some people on my facebook who are my husband's relatives feel the need to talk about me behind my back. Such people are Christian, church going sorts of folks. H1N1
Ok, so it finally happened. I am taking care of a baby with H1N1, sick and near death. I was supposed to admit another baby 6 months gestation with H1N1, but he didn't survive past an hour of birth. His mom might die too.
The patients are in isolation and I glove, gown, mask and wash like crazy. But I'm still afraid. I'm afraid I'll bring it -
Post doc update
Well, the lump on my hand is a ganglion cyst. It is a fluild filled sac. Doctor said I could smash the hell out of it with a beer bottle, have it aspirated, or excised with surgery. He recommended waiting until it really bothered me though ( Read more... ) -
Grumblings
Had a hard time going to sleep this morning (I sleep during the day and work at night). After wasting an hour searching for eggs on Hatchlings, I went to bed. I tossed and turned for a while. My left leg and hip is killing me. My muscles are constantly contracted and hard. I even broke out the mother-in-law's shiatsu machine. Didn't help much ( Read more... ) -
Lump on hand
OMG, I just got quite a scare. My husband noticed a very hard lump on the back of my hand near my wrist. When palpated, it is a bit painful. It is more pronounced when I flex my wrist. I'm surprised I hadn't noticed it before. It feels like it's a growth on the bone. Of course everybody associates growths with cancer. I started worrying a ( Read more... ) -
Yucky week
I've had a yucky week. This was my vacation week to go outside, enjoy the beautiful Autumn weather, ride horses, and generally have fun. Well it was cold and rainy. One year ago I officially joined the House of Netjer forum. I had been lurking for quite a bit longer. I could have made it into the beginner's class before mine, but I chose to wait until I could devote my full attention to the teachings. Nine months later I had my RPD, and became a Shemsu. Gaian Tarot
Over the years, I have watched the Gaian tarot by Joanna Powell Colbert grow. I purchased her 2nd edition Majors only deck which she offered while working on the minors. The images are exquisite. Horses
I miss my horses. I used to raise Egyptian Arabians. They are the most beautiful creatures in the world, well besides cats and lions of course. :) I remember well the births of the two babies my horses had, both fillies, Nyla and Lily. Shen
I think I'm in love with my Amun-Ra shen. He feels so good and right on my neck. As far as I can tell his name is Amun. He doesn't see any need to call him anything else.
