birthday prezzie!
So, for my birthday (last Monday), Sean is taking me to Kauai! That's like totally exciting! The departure flight leaves after work on the Friday and then we redeye back on Monday night - so 3 solid days plus the night we get there! Super fun ( Read more... ) -

I am sitting in the lounge at the Hilton CDG looking at one of the last Concorde's which is on display on the aiport grounds... it was a lovely week off but in a few hours, we will be getting on the nonstop flight back to Seattle and back to the grind. It's is friggen wet - like drenching rain. It has been like this most of the day. Today was really our only day here in the city... it has been a water works... It's really raining too hard to really enjoy much...I'm glad we went to Bled yesterday as it was warm and lovely all day. So we were a little late leaving Bucharest after an evening at OTP with a bunch of Jarheads waiting for their deployment. Some of those guys were obviously on tour 3 or 4 ... so hope Obama can get us out soon ( Read more... ) -
Brasov and the following day in Bucharest
So, yesterday, we got up bright and early and headed for Brasov - a Saxon village in the Transylvanian mountains. It was a very nice day and quite a bit chillier than here in Bucharest.
