I've sent Imperfections 8 off to Cascade Library, and as I was finishing it, it became obvious that I wasn't doing what I thought I was doing.

Yay! Rejoicing in StarWatcher's house!

Imperfections was fun. I did whatever was fun.

Why may be why it resonates with so many readers. Not only is it a fascinating AU -- I love the depth of detail that the guides have to consider in order to care for their sentinels -- it's fun to read. This is a good thing. :~) Whenever someone wants a "long, involved" story that also has to be gen, Perfections is the first one that comes to mind.

Except it turns out that maybe I could have a plan.

I've had this conversation with Arianna, a couple of times. We've both written things that, in retrospect, have connections and interweavings that we didn't recognize at the time of writing. Frankly, I don't care if you don't have a plan. If you did, I might end up terminally jealous. :) As it is (and I've said this before), the world building kicks ASS.

Wow, with the way you had each story build and re-enforce each other I thought you had a plan to. Either way they are great reading!

Any idea how long it usually takes the Library to post things? Guess I'll just keep checking obsessively. Looking forward to reading the new one!

IME, usually less than 12 hours, sometimes a day or two if the librarians get tied up by RL.

yes, indeedy, it was fun! so, insert a plan if it pleases you, or not. Either way, we're having fun, so it's all win-win. don't do the plan-thing unless it is fun too...
