So, I'm pet-sitting for my parents, taking care of their two Springer Spaniels while they go out of town for an overnight trip. They basically NEVER take vacations at all, so this is a very good thing. And I wouldn't mind taking care of the dogs, except for one little problem. So, over two years ago when Bush & Co. were running for re-election, they made a huge deal out of their support for a Constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, even though it was clear that such an amendment would never be ratified.
