Del Toro Drops out of The Hobbit
Guillermo del Toro has dropped out as director of the planned Hobbit movies, based on J.R.R. Tolkein’s prequel novel to The Lord of the Rings.

Spent most of the day without power. Not the end of the world (I have plenty of books and other non-powered entertainment) but my plan for the day was to clean out the fridge. This is naturally inadvisable when there's no power to maintain what you want to keep at appropriate temperatures. -
