weekly-ish weigh in! Yes, I know, I forgot for a bit there. truth be told, I was getting a little frustrated at the lack of loss of weight. The number plain was not shifting. Today, though, 392. But that's not the big news! Last night I walked a mile... and ran 1/4 of it.

Kind of confirms what I have been thinking for a while. All of the overchemicalling of our food supply has a direct effect on our bodies.

So, I have started doing the 4.5 flights of stairs up from the bottom level of the parking garage on a daily basis (on work days). Add to that climbing the one flight of stairs in my building 2-3 times a day (on work days), walking 1/2 mile twice a day (every day). My breathing is easier, and I am able to get more speed on the long stair climb, ( Read more... )

Lost 5 pounds this week from last week's gain of one. It feels good to finally break through the 398-399 plateau I had been stuck at. I also conquered the final flight of stairs at the parking garage. Holy cow, that was hard! Definitely felt good to do, though! More stairs and better portion control. She was, apparently, in the bathroom at school crying and sleeping for most of the day. Then, she went to health class for the field trip and went back into the bathroom for more crying. Went the wrong direction by a pound this week. Lots of job/family/life stress and making poor food decisions... On the plus side, I am not in any pain walking a mile. A little winded, but the legs are fine. I decided to try climbing the stairs up from the 4th level of the parking garage. Made it up 2 with no problems. The third started hurting. I ( Read more... )
