Nobody Knows the Troubles I've Seen
These past couple of weeks haven't gone well. I'm still trying to get an assistantship for my studies in Library Science at the U of I. So far, I've had six or seven interviews, but have been rejected by each library. The latest rejection arrived today -- an assistantship for the the Life Sciences library. I've finally taken the long journey from Chicago to Champaign. I'm now residing in a small apartment complex right off of I-74 in the outskirts of Urbana. Moving was fairly easy; I didn't take very much with me, so I was able to get everything unpacked in around a day's time. On Friday, I spent most of my day dropping off forms. Being around family tends to bring out my inner punster. Since this May, on at least 40-50 seperate occasions, I have cracked a pun in front of either my friends or family. Sometimes they're able to come up with an equally awful response, sometimes they just cover their ears and try to forget what they've heard.
