I've been pretty distraught this quarter because I've felt like my mathematical ability isn't as strong as I once thought it was. I'm having a rough time in my two math classes, and regardless of how confident I feel about the material when I learn it in class, the homework and tests are so challenging that I feel as though I learned nothing.

After 2.5 months of waiting, I found out yesterday that I've been accepted into UW. I haven't received my official letter yet, but I'm sure that my acceptance is conditional and that I have to complete the classes in which I'm currently enrolled before being officially admitted ( Read more... )

I was browsing through a list of Fortune 500 companies and their donations to Katrina relief efforts.

Is it imperative that Fortune be THIS specific with Mattel's contribution? Or, perhaps, why did Mattel find it necessary to report that most of the Barbies they contributed were African-American?
