Gorgeous update to this 'verse! The references to Adam and the ghouls were so ironic, as John tried to call his second family to no avail. I wonder if the boys will ever tell him of Adam's fate and Sam's attack. Also, Dean was awesome in his reproach of John concerning Sam, reminiscent of John warning Young Dean of his #1 priority, Sammy. And, the ending was so heartwarming, as John realized that the boys are slowly accepting him as part of the team. Loved it!

The situation with Adam has always struck me as so terribly, terribly tragic, I'm a little frozen by it actually... remarkable for his show, but it's almost too sad for me.

It's really good to know there's interest in more, actually. This was what I'd originally had planned for my BB, but I'll definitely consider it.

You are doing such an amazing job of presenting John's POV. he's such a complex character but you paint him so believably! I'm glad now you didn't tackle this for spn_j2_bigbang, because I'm not even sure this story needs to end. It works so well as a sort of AU 'verse where the journey is more compelling than any specific objective to attain.

It's nice to hear you say so, actually. There was obviously no way I'd ever have had this done for the challenge obviously, but I'd been concerned about doing an ongoing 'verse. I wanted every story to stand alone, so it wouldn't be unsatisfying.

Having Sam meet up with the boogeyman was definitely on the agenda, but now I guess I'll see if inspiration will hit again. I'd pretty much figured I'd waited too long between installments - it's hard to lose momentum.

I was so happy to see another addition to the verse up today! So many wonderful things included this time around. I hope you chose to continue because OMG, John doesn't know what happened to Adam, and that the boys know about Adam! That in and of itself is worth its own piece.

I was tickled pink to see someone else use Pig Laitn, though the way you had Sam use it to destroy a monster was much better more creative than anything I ever did with it and I can't believe that Dean didn't get (John yes, but Dean?!)

All in all, it was another great addition to the verse and I loved every second of it!

It's funny because the boogeyman and pig latin were part of the original plan when I started this, but the actual thing that Sam said only happened recently. (as in this past weekend) And I realized that's what the story really needed.

I don't think Dean ever socially assimilated right - After School Special, he was pretty much hanging out with kids his own age, and I imagine that was probably even more true when he was little.
