I really need to stop lying to you.

But really. As it turns out, prison scenes take longer to write than I'd thought (who knew!). I'm about 3/4 of the way finished with this chapter; I hope to have it up by Thursday.

I like Douglas Adams' approach:

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

For sure. And I haven't even been spending hours at a time in the bath (as the dearly departed Mr. Adams was wont to do).
