The Santa Anas have been blowing for a sustained three days, the longest I can remember. Usually there's a break in there somewhere but this has been nearly non-stop. The sky is incredibly clear. When I'm crossing Summitrose on TCB I can see the entire valley. Not that anybody really wants to look at the valley.

You know what I like about “What’s My Line”? Lots of things actually, the clothes (and that the ladies refer to them as costumes), gloves, proper bow ties; how the men never fail to stand and shake a woman’s hand, how the women do not stand. Proper manner at the proper time.

I should say that I have been a passing admirer of John McCain for many years. Long before it became an election buzzword, he was often referred to as a "maverick", and his story is amazing. Ya gotta give the guy credit - John McCain has a great sense of humor. He was hilarious on SNL tonight.

I suspect Senator McCain knows he's going down. I'd love to see him go back on when it's all over and do another bit with Tina Fey where he could really trash her openly.

Today news reports revealed that since being chosen as the Republican VP candidate, over $150,000 has been spent by the campaign on clothes for Sarah Palin.
