About School:

Business class: boring as hell, haven’t warmed up to a single person nor even chatted with anybody (mostly teenage Armenians who just want to chat and flirt and play with their phones, Daddy will pay to open their club anyway). Good information, though, and a good project that I think I’ll get a lot out of.

Sometimes, the powers that be get something right. Most of the time, especially with movies, they get it horribly wrong, as they did when they compelled Ridley Scott to put a narration on the front of Blade Runner, and when they compelled Alex Proyas to do the same with Dark City. My friend John McGraw has discovered Skype. He is in London, yet we have talked face to face twice today.

Somehow, despite my love for gadgets, all things computer, and Star Trek, it's a little weird. I don't know why.

Over Labor Day weekend I visited my sister in Las Vegas. We visited the Atomic Testing Museum, which was one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had. It's affiliated with the Smithsonian, so it wasn't some cheap sideshow; it was a very professional, almost Disney-esque environment. I was not quite sure how to feel about it all.
