For the first time since April, Jen's father watched Jonny overnight over the weekend, and Jen and I got to indulge in a few small childfree privileges. Saturday night, after dropping the lad off, we went to our predictable Jonny-free weekend spot, a Korean restaurant in Park Slope called Moim, and ordered our predictable Jonny-free dinner there. A lot of solid reads last month, all in all. Reading thirteen books seems impressive until I note that most of them were less than 250 pages apiece.

A pleasing month, all around. A lot of mediocre books but nothing truly bad, and a good handful of great reads in the mix. Whole lot of dragon books for some reason. Weird how these things happen.

Hike all the places: Financially realistic reappraisal.
I'd hoped to take a hike in all fifty states and all ten Canadian provinces (though probably not the three territories) by the time I turned 40.
