Since when did a joke shop have to look natural! A whole lot of unnatural things happen within those 6 walls! (Six thanks to a certain dimwit firing the test version of Expansion Pistol! As if we needed more walls whose wallpaper to argue over!)
Stripes? Are you trying to make your customers even more dizzy than they would be without stripes?? Or will you equipt them with special glasses when they walk through the door so they are not rendered cross-eyed?
And FLOWERS??? And here I thought that George was the secretly gay one...
Zabini, I really don't think this matter concerns you in the slightest. This is between me and my brother and we don't need a Slytherin's opinion on how to decorate. (Although you raise an excellent point about the stripes!!)
And I'm not even going to dignify that last comment with a response. A true gentleman understands the value of floral patterns.
Well I think it concerns me as a CUSTOMER! So I shall continue giving you my comments, even if I have to nail a suggestions box outside of the store!
Hrmph! You should at least post which sorts of floral patterns you are considering. I hope its not horrendous or I shall be forced to shop elsewhere for my humourous needs.
"True gentleman". Ha! HA! Fine, Weasley, you won't get my valuable input anymore! And when your customers flee in horror, clutching their eyes and screaming, don't say I didn't warn you!

Flowers might work along MY wall(s), but I don't know what kind of tone they set for JOKES and FUN THINGS and other sorts of items.
I'm sorry, but flowers speak to femininity and girl bits. Unless we're actually looking to challenge gender stereotypes, in which case it might be fantastic to have blue flowers on pink stripes or something like that!
Boot, we are not catering to the small-minded here. If you ever took the time to browse through our product line, you would surely see that our merchandise is intellectually stimulating! It's for the smart and sophisticated pranksters of tomorrow!
Besides, with all of the exciting things within the shop, something calming and simple on the walls would create nice contrast.

Stripes seem a bit hostile.

I don't think mixing stripes and flowers is the solution, though. Flowers already have stems and leaves that are rather stripe-like.
