Jinx was in a minor car accident today. She is fine, the driver who hit her is insured, but the car needs to get taken in for fixing.

My sewing machine no longer functions. AT ALL. It appears to be an electrical failure. It needs to be taken in for fixing.

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

I'm never really sure how to handle it when someone I care about, but am not particularly close to, is in medical distress. This week several of the people I used to consider my dearest closest friends, but who no longer feel close to ME, have had surgery. Those of you who do not walk 2.5 miles before sunrise had better quit complaining about the cold weather. 'Cause seriously... my legs didn't thaw until several hours into the day today.

Luckily it looks like Friday will be back above freezing and hopefully less wind.

Going through old computer stuff today in an attempt to organize my office, found a whole bunch of old programs and discs. Strange to see my childhood copy of "where in time is carmen sandiago" and "super munchers" as well as many others. None are of any use anymore (all on floppy) but still a strange experience ( Read more... )
