I returned to SF yesterday. Exhausted, but happy that the immediate family was able to get together at such short notice

As many of you know, my father passed away on Tuesday. I flew back on Thursday to meet up with my family in Massachusetts. He died peacefully in his sleep.
My mother and I went to the funeral home on Friday to view the body and to pay our last respects. Below is the obituary as it appeared in the Saturday newspaper.

I just received the sad news that my father has passed away. He died of complication of COPD and Congestive Heart Failure. He was 85.

The past week, he has been under Home Hospice Care. He died at home, as he had wanted it.

2011-05-14-QBT 2011 was low-key. It was about as cold as last year. It was good to sit around the fire. Tony served excellent food as usual! A good time was had by all!
