working with homeless people really makes me see how the united states fails as a country. our education systems is so horrible that probably 1/4 to 1/3 of the people i talk to everyday are illiterate. the simple things like reading that most people just accept as a fact, even i who struggles with reading and dyslexia can read and write. I maybe incredibly ill right now, but i couldn't be happier. Well i guess i could if i was able to be at bread and roses homeless advocacy center (BRAC) working the best job ever! I just had the most pointless akward amazingly wonderful time, kicking it with my friend. i don't even know how to begin to describe how nerdy we are.

My life has improved the the hundreds since i got back to olympia. I am working at a place i love with people i love and doing things that i love to do. my class is amazing, my prof is a radical shark, which gives hope for me yet ( Read more... )
